They wore muchpolished ironwork, rings, bells, and anklets, and appearedto be partial to many leglets made of calamus fibre, andarmlets of the same material, after the manner ofKaragwe and Uliha. They cultivate maize, beans,plantains, and bananas, tobacco, sweet potatoes, yams,brinjalls, melons, gourds. Their goats are fine, and ofgood size. Fowls are plentiful, but fresh eggs are rare.
