New Trolley Retrievers and Catches The New Haven Trolley Supply Company, NewHaven, Conn., is just placing on the market the Sterl-ing Universal trolley retriever, and the Sterlingtrolley catcher. These devices contain a number ofnovel features. For example, only one weight retriev-ing spring is used in the trolley retriever. This spring. EXTERIOR VIEW OF TROLLEY RETRIEVER can be adjusted to meet any tension of trolley pole de-sired, thereby making it unnecessary to carry in stockvarious sizes of retrieving springs. Action of the re-trieving spring does not affect the service spring. Itis asserted that these machines positively will preventskipping or walking up of the pole after it leaves thewire. They contain very little mechanism, and the fewparts are strong and simple. Repairs can be made with-out the use of tools other than a wrench with which toremove the case. The company absolutely guaranteesfor a period of five years all parts except springs. Thesprings, nevertheless, are said to be the best obtainable,and were designed specially for the characters of servicerequired. Where desired, the company can supply ma-chines that are interchangeable with present equipment.
