Burscough, Lancashire, UK Weather. 14/10/2018 Curious cumulus cloud formation as up to 12,000 pink foot geese return to roost at Martin Mere. Cumulus clouds produce little or no precipitation, but they can grow into the precipitation-bearing congestus or cumulonimbus clouds often associated with heavy rain. The Pink-footed Goose is a winter visitor to the UK, feeding on the surrounding farmland in west Lancashire. Credit; MediaWorldImages/AlamyLiveNews.
