Las Caballerizas Reales de Cordoba (The Royal Stables of Cordoba) in the historical city of Cordoba in Andalusia, southern Spain The tack room of saddles is also a museum, open to visitors at the Royal Stables. They were built in 1572, the birthplace of the purebred Andalusian horse founded by Spanish King Felipe 11 who had a deep passion for the breed. Also on the skilful use and handling of a three metre long wooden ‘garrocha’ pole. It was originated for rounding up cattle herds on Spanish farms since the 17th century.
