Here it was com-mitted to the ground withinthe tower, attended by manyof the nobility, but lamentedby few. The next year thetower fell; though I forbearto mention the different opi-nions on this subject, lest I should seem to assent too readily tounsupported trifles; more especially that the building might havefallen through imperfect construction, even though he had never beenburied there.
