Raltegravir HIV drug. Person holding a box containing capsules of the integrase inhibitor drug raltegravir, marketed under the name Isentress. By inhibiting the integrase protein the drug prevents the virus integrating its genetic material into the host cell. This drug is used as a part of antiretroviral therapy in the treatment of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus).
