Image shows Pvt. Gibbon, a soldier from South Carolina, photographing soldiers in France during World War One. The photo was taken on November 20, 1918, near Le Cheve Tondue, overlooking a route used by American Infantry during their advance. The photograph was later released by the AEF Censor.
