Retired Army Air Forces Chief Master Sgt. Mel Jenner, 452nd Bomber Group radio operator, traces his old flight path at the National World War II Museum, New Orleans, Louisiana, Sept. 14, 2022. Jenner flew 25 missions in the Berlin Airlift. He began his 26 year military career by training as a radio operator at what was then known as Keesler Army Airfield.
