Non Exclusive: LVIV, UKRAINE - AUGUST 29, 2023 - Head of St Nicholas Hospital Dmytro Hrytsak speaks to the press upon the return of the Stepanenko family from a year-long rehabilitation in San Diego, the USA, Lviv, western Ukraine. Yana Stepanenko lost both her legs and her mother Nataliia was left with one leg after the Kramatorsk railway station attack. On April 8, 2022, a Russian missile hit the railway station in Kramatorsk, Donetsk Region, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The strike killed 63 civilians (including 9 children) and wounded 150 (including 34 children).
