The long car bodieswhich are now used in suburban service and are ordinarily run atan extremely high rate of speed around curves as well as uponstraight tracks have necessitated certain modifications in the stand-ards laid down by the Master Car Builders Association, but theM. C. B. lines are incorporated in the best makes of trucks forthis service. The Taylor Electric Truck Company, of Troy, N. Y.,after a. long practical experience in the manufacture of high-grade. HIGH-SPEED TRUCK FOR HEAVY SERVICE trucks for heavy service, is now putting on the market the designshown herewith. This truck, as will be seen, conforms very closelyto steam railroad practice, at the same time embodying suchfeatures of strength and durability as are required by the additionof the extra weight of the motors. The bolster has a swing mo-tion, which combined with the equalizer bar construction makes avery easy-riding truck. The trucks and all wearing partsare made very strong, allowing the attachment of air brakesif desired, and great care is taken to have the trucks in all partsequal to any service, however severe.
