The vine isfruitful, bearinglarge numbers ofsmall, round,bluish-black The leaves resemble Rupestris,and unlike most crosses contain-ing vinifera, its resistance toPhylloxera is quite sufficient andsuperior to that of Lenoir. It isvery vigorous and roots easilyfrom cuttings. It is somewhatdifficult to graft, but when suc-cessful the grafts make goodunions and are vigorous andfruitful.
