KINGS BAY, Georgia (Nov. 2, 2018) World War II Veteran Maury Wortham stands as people sing happy birthday to him during the Submarine Veterans of World War II Memorial Ceremony at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. Wortham served aboard the submarine USS Haddo (SS 255) during the war, and he turns 103 on Nov. 4. This is the 30th year Kings Bay has hosted the ceremony to pay tribute to all who served in the silent service during the war.
