The total resistance isto be determined by the number of indicators and the voltage ofthe supply circuit, and should be such that 1 ampere will flowthrough the circuit when all the detectors, the indicating lamp,and the ballast resistance are connected in series. The switches are to be capable of handling 1 ampere at novolts under the conditions of use. Ordinary snap switches willusually serve the purpose.
