The Kales are more hardy than Cabbage, and make excellent greens for winter and spring use, and are improved by frost. Sow from May to June, and cultivate the same as Cabbage. For early sprmg use sow in September, and protect during whiter. Dreer's Imperial Long Standing. A beautiful curled and crimped sort, of strong, vigorous habit, perfectly hardy, attractive appearance, and a bright green color. It is superior to all other sorts, and is un- doubtedly the best for private gardens. Dwarf Green Curled German.
