With one vehicle dissabled by the intial ambush, two Bradleys race to a point ahead, while one Bradley confronts the opfor soldiers in the rocks. For the first nine days of annual training, C Company was divided into two groups - infantry dismounts conducting a variety of exercises while several miles away the Bradley crews were engaged in gunnery qualifications. On day ten, the unit has joined together again to conduct several field exercises. Charlie Company from the 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team began annual training on the morning of May 1, 2021 and returned from the Orchard Combat Training Center on the evening of May 13. Charlie Company completed a successful training with Bradley Gunnery Table VI and qualifying 11 Bradley crews. The dismount infantry squads completed their qualifications for all six squads. The training exercise while in the field included situational challenges to recover downed vehicles as well as medical personnel’s ability to triage, render treatment and evacuate battlefield casualties. Several units from the Idaho Army National Guard spread out across the wide expanse of the OCTC conducting exercises for annual training. The Visual Information Office for the Idaho Army National Guard followed portions of their training period.
