Roberta's was one of the first restaurants to set up shop in the neighborhood causing ti to become a destination. The neighborhood is undergoing gentrification changing from a rough and tumble mix of Hispanic and industrial to a haven for hipsters and a destination for tourists, forcing many of the long-time residents out because of rising rents.
