This photograph shows a front view of a typical warehouse at Bush Terminal, Brooklyn, New York. Trucks can be seen unloading material using whip-hoists at the front of the building. Due to the lack of elevators, all material is delivered to different floors of the building using whip-hoists on the outside, which eliminates the need for elevator shafts. The photo was taken on July 18, 1919, by Sergeant Steiniger.
