What seems strange is that the great re-nown of^ Lincoln has not reacted upon one of hisearliest biographies; that this has dropped as whollyin oblivion as if it was the story of nobody; thecoach indeed arriyed in glory, and was found to bethe car of victory, the fiery chariot of freedom; butthe fifth wheel seems to have stopped somewhere onthe way. 2 NIAGARA, FIRST AND LAST.
