Picture by Roger Bamber:20 December 2004: No Sculptor Johnny Woodford assembles his plantation of Christmas trees carved from the victims of Dutch Elm disease. The project called "Because a tree is for life, not just for Christmas" is to be found at Ovingdean, East Sussex near Brighton. The 3ft to 8ft high recycled elm trees are selling briskly alongside more conventional Norwegian Spruce trees.
