1001185345W-019 CARIBBEAN SEA (Jan. 18, 2010) The multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) takes on fuel and supplies from the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Big Horn (T-AO 198) during a replenishment at sea while en route to Haiti. Bataan, along with amphibious dock landing ships USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43), USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) and USS Carter Hall (LSD 50), are participating in Operation Unified Response to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster response in the aftermath of a magnitude earthquake on Jan. 12, 2010.
