A cased pair of flintlock pistols, Antoine Rongé, Liège approx. 1800. Octagonal, slightly swamped, browned, Damascus barrels in 12 mm calibre with hair triggers and hook breeches. Silver front sights and iron rear sights mounted on barrels. The finely chiselled iron flintlocks are signed "Atne. Rongé" and have set triggers and frizzens with roller bearings. Carved walnut fullstocks with delicately engraved silver furniture (hallmarked). There are engraved grotesque masks on the oval pommels. The checkered butt stocks are decorated with silver pins.
