Brunswick Town, North Carolina. Close-up of brick wall at St. Philip's Anglican Church.

Brunswick was an English port and town founded in 1726. It was a place where the first revolutionary acts by American colonist against the British occurred, eight years before the Boston Tea Party. Brunswick also played a part in the American Civil War. Fort Anderson was built on this same site by the Confederate army as a way to defend the supplies being transported through Cape Fear. These bricks were imported from England.
