Padley Gorge & Burbage Brook

Yarncliffe Wood (Padley Gorge) is one of the best surviving examples of the oak and birch woodland that once covered most of the uplands of the Peak District. Running through it is Burbage Brook, which is the largest watercourse on the Longshaw estate. The source of this brook originates 1,400 ft (427 metres) up on the Hathersage and Burbage Moors and runs into the River Derwent north of Grindleford
