High school students meet in Texas after every summer to test the solar powered vehicle they have spent two years working on. 2013 marks the 20th year they have come together and the third cross-country race to Los Angeles, Calif. Other races have ended in New York, Colorado, Florida, etc. These "experimental vehicles" are driven by the students at an average speed of 15-20 miles per hour. On the first day they left Fort Worth, Texas, and went west along US 180 to Snyder, Texas. Some 200 plus miles!
