2017 Wilderness Weekend Activities. Shenandoah National Park’s 17th Annual Wilderness Weekend on September 9th and 10th, 2017 celebrated America’s Wilderness heritage. Visitors came out for special demonstrations and hands-on activities given by our Backcountry, Trails Crew, and Interpretation staff.
