As with deer restocking, emphasis is being placed on releasing turkey in areas of suitable habitat with a low turkey population rather than in attempting to distribute turkeys equally over the state. During the period covered by this report the Commission pur- chased 525 half wild turkeys which were liberated in several coun- ties of the Fifth District.
