Humpback Whales Bubble net feeding


For a while the only way we knew the whales were under the water were the hovering seagulls above. The whales had dived deeply and were swimming in a circle, herding the school of fish closer as the whales closed the circle. Eventually, with a rush and enormous jaws wide open they broke through the surface and thrashed wildly as they fed greedily on the fish.
