Meteosat second generation-4 (MSG-4) weather satellite during integration at Thales Alenia Space, in Cannes, France, on 21 January 2014. MSG-4 is the fourth of four MSG satellites. It was launched on top of an Ariane 5 rocket on 15 July 2015. It transmits detailed meteorological images to Earth every 15 minutes. It is a joint project by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European organisation for the exploitation of meteorological satellites (EUMETSAT).
