Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia bunker museum in Oberhausen
, Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany - Bunker Museum in Oberhausen. When a vacant high bunker in the Oberhausener Knappenviertel was rebuilt as the Alter Heid citizens' center, the interior of the museum was planned for the basement. In June 2001 the bunker museum was opened. It has been left as it was, and the first of its kind in North Rhine-Westphalia. In May 2011, the new permanent exhibition Heimatfront was opened here from the blitzkrieg in Europe to the air war on the Ruhr. View into a room cell in the bunker museum. At the time, those seeking protection were only allowed to carry as much luggage as they could fit in the small suitcase as an exhibition object.
