A helicopter landing platform found on the summit of the Rockpile during October 1966. The rockpile platform, while not large enough to allow a full landing, allowed pilots to briefly touch their wheels to it while maintaining full throttle. This photograph was taken by Capt Arnold and is part of the Defense Department's collection.
