The sketch of the picture "Death to Wall-paper" of Kazimir Malevich on the historical building in Vitebsk.


In 1919 in the workshop located in the building down the street Bukharinska, 10 (nowadays Pravdy Street, 5a) Kazimir Malevich created the well-known sketch "Death to wall-paper". Intended for registration of the building, it and remained on paper. In 1992 members of the creative association "Square" carried out Malevich's plan, having drawn "Death to wall-paper" on the house down the street of Lenin, 18. In June, 2014 after reconstruction of the building the sketch was restored by students of Vitebsk state technological university and Vitebsk state university of P. Masherov. This art object is one of symbols of Vitebsk.
