HIP OSTEOARTHRITIS, DRAWING
Arthrose of the hip (femur head and acetabulum). The cartilage at the level of the femur head and the acetabulum is used ; osteophytes (bone excrescences) have formed. There is also a remodeling of the bony tissue : at the level of the friction areas, a bone condensation is being made (osteocondensation) whereas geodes (cavities) are forming in the adjacent areas.
