A German silver-mounted hunting sword, dated 1762 Sturdy single-edged blade with double-edged point. One side engraved with motto "Nach jagen und fill fangen geht allzeit mein Verlangen - Anno 1762" (tr. "To hunt and shoot good game - this is the hunter's claim"). The reverse with engraved dog and stag between tendril decoration. Quillons with knuckle bow and guard ring on the obverse. Both sides lavishly decorated with semicircular silver rivets.
