SOUDA BAY, Greece (April 22, 2017) Lt. David Childress, the navigation officer aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71), reads from the voyage management system as the ship departs Souda Bay, Greece. Ross is forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe and Africa.
