Len Forkas, a solo rider, shows wounds after he crashed near checkpoint 39 during the Race Across America ultrmarathon bicycle race. Forkas was fighting exhaustion in the grueling transcontinental race which began on June 12th in Oceanside, Calif. will finish in Annapolis, Md.
