Llewellyn's cave
Llewelyn's Cave, is said to have been occasionally used as an asylum by that brave, but unfortunate, prince Llewelyn ab Grufydd, the last royal defender of Welsh liberty and independence, against the overpowering army of Edward I. Llewellyn ap Gruffydd or Llewellyn Ein Llyw Olaf ("Llewellyn Our Last Leader") (c. 1223 – 11 December 1282) was the last prince of an independent Wales before its conquest by Edward I of England. He is said to have spent his last night in this cave.
