Highly resistant to Stewart's disease. â TOP CROSS MAINE BANTAM (Maine Bantam P39) (y) 6 Our development; has proven highly successful for canners and freezers in short season areas. Stalk sturdy with deep green foliage; ear slightly shorter than Golden Cross Bantam, \y^" diameter, very slightly tapered with 12-16 rows; kernels me- dium-narrow and golden yellow, tender and of excellent flavor. Highly resistant to Stewart's disease. â SACHEM (y) . 6 An exclusive Asgrow hybrid, produced from our own inbred lines and now introduced as an early companion to Golden Cross Bantam, and thus affording a longer season of this most desirable type. Plants vigorous and very resistant to bacterial wilt. Ears 15/g" diameter, long, trim, and well filled to tips with 10-14 rows of medium-deep, bright yellow kernels.
