Corey, wife and son. He was named after a distinguished democraticcandidate for the Presidential office, although Fathervoted for his opponent. Cass, having a good manyfriends in the Whig party, Father named his young-est son after him. Lewis has been the rolling stone in the spent one-third of his 65 years in the town wherehe was born, 33 years in the West, and nine or tenyears on his farm near Jackson, the capital ofMississippi, where he is now living.
