Mothers' Day in the Cars. Two of the Schiller stores are located on the lines of the elevated railroad and the third store is only a few blocks from one of the branches of the road. Consequently, to the Schiller manage- ment it seems like good advertising to put cards in all tho elevated cars ex- ploiting brothers' day. The Swenson poster in colors was used, with the com- pany name and the addresses of its three stores. There arc ],.'300 cars on the ele- vated linos and they each carry the Mothers' daxcnrd. Forty other stores arc using the Swonson Mothers' day stamps and window jmsters and there has been some conijilaint from them because of the Schiller use of the same material. Sec- ond tlionglit. however, ])robably will re- sult in a ditTt'icnt view of the matter. The Schiller advertising, while primar- ily for Schiller, will unquestionably in- crease the sale of flowers with all other flower stfiro!? and ]iarticularly with those that are disjilaying the same Mothers' day posters. While the Schiller stores will reap the best part of the results, 'as they rightfully should because they are standing the expense, the publicity they give M
