A Northern German or Dutch baroque playboard, circa 1730 Square body with mahogany veneer, smooth brass fittings. Foldable in the middle, the interior with a backgammon board, the exterior with boards for nine men's morris and chess. The boards elaborately decorated with inlaid work and marquetry. The nine men's morris board inlaid in walnut, fruitwood and coloured bone, surrounded by blossom tendrils made from fruitwood and coloured bone. The chess board made from walnut and mahogany.
