Hofdi House, Reykjavik, Iceland


Höfði, Hofdi house, was built in 1909 as a residence for the French consul in Reykjavik. It is now a reception house for the Reykjavik City Council. Hofdi House became known around the world in 1986 when US President Ronald Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev met here at a summit conference, in an attempt to reach an agreement on nuclear disarmament.
