The group, which also includes teachers and police officers, will be raising funds for Broxtowe Women's Project. The event is called These Heels Are Made For Walking and men are being asked to collect sponsorship to take part. The walk will start at 11am on Saturday, February 15, at Dunn-Lite, Nottingham Road, Eastwood. The group will walk to the town's war memorial and back. The walk is part of the White Ribbon Campaign, which was originally started to help women who had been subjected to physical and mental abuse. This is the first charity event that has been organised for Broxtowe Women's Project.
