Shikinejima island, Matsugashita Miyabi-yu Hot spring


The Pacific island of Shikinejima Pop 580 4 km west of Niijima Island with a circumference of 12 km has an area of 3 9 km The island forms a tableland whose highest point is only 99 m above sea level However among the seven isles the island enjoys the most prominent complex sealines which create a splendid panorama of the sea combined with a shore reef offshore whose arms in the sea run deep into the land In addition to this panoramic view there are some hot springs rich in natural beauty and swimming at the white sanded beach and surfing can be enjoyed The Izu Islands are a group of volcanic islands stretching south and east from the Izu Peninsula of Honshu Japan Administratively they form two towns and six villages all part of Tokyo Although traditionally referred to as the Izu Seven there are in fact more than a dozen islands and islets Nine among them are currently inhabited All the islands lie within the Fuji Hakone Izu National Park
