Zidovudine. Molecular model of the drug zidovudine (), a nucleoside analogue reverse transcriptase inhibitor used to treat HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). It is also known as azidothymidine (AZT) and Retrovir and is widely used in combination with other drugs (combination therapy).
