The free medical care and distribution of mosquito nets were part of a week-long programme called Tarehe Sita - Kiswahili for 6 February - which is the commemorative date that the Ugandan People's Defence Force (UPDF) was formed. This year marks 31 years since the UPDF's creation, which currently has around 6,500 personnel serving with AMISOM in Somalia. AU-UN IST PHOTO / STUART PRICE.
