There is a knob-like enlarge-ment, palpable in the early stages, visible later, which lies exactly at thepoint where epiphysis and diaphysis join, and which gradually flattensdown to the level of the bone on either side of it. Neither the beadsnor the knobs are tender to pressure. The head appears large and square. The forehead is high and broadand the top of the head is more or less flattened.
