Gina Ortiz Jones, undersecretary of the Air Force, receives a briefing Jan. 9 from Col. Ray Smith, 445th Airlift Wing commander, during her tour of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. It marked one of eight stops during her visit. The 445 AW mission is to attain and maintain operational readiness; provide strategic transport of personnel and equipment; conduct aeromedical evacuation; and recruit and train toward these goals.
