The supply of mums increases daily and, while they cut into the sale of roses and carnations to a large extent, the market has taken up all stock being offered. Prices are rather lower than a week ago, especially on carnations, which have not been moving well. The demand for white mums in medium sizes was heavy November 1, there be- ing not enough for all. Quantities of outdoor spray mums have made their appeai'ance and cut into the sale of indoor stock. Wedding orders have used up quite a bit of valley. Greens are still in good supply, with only a fair demand. Various Notes. The Franklin Davis Nursery Co. has gone into the hands of a receiver. The Western National Bank, of this city, a creditor in the sum of $30,000, filed the petition in the U. S. District Court which resulted in the appointment of William F. Stone to carry on the affairs of the company. Samuel A. Burk, of Mitchellville, and Jos. E. White, of the same place, claim to be creditors for $ and $7, respectively. The estate of Eufus Woods, owner of prop- erty occupied by the offices of the con- cern, also claims promissory n
