Smoke from the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, on 6th August 1945. The base of the smoke is spread over 3 kilometers and the column of smoke is rising 6 kilometers into the air. The first atomic bomb used in military action, which was nicknamed 'Little Boy' was dropped by a USAF, B-29 Superfortress. It exploded with a force equal to 12,500 tons of TNT. The explosion killed 80,000 and devastated the city. The death toll continued to rise over the years as survivors developed cancers associated with radiation; ultimately claiming over 200,000 lives.
