The Burmese Buddhism belongs to the Theravada tradition as most of the Southeast Asian nations. The monastery is also called pagoda, being Myanmar a country famous for its pagodas. Outside Myanmar, there are some Burmese monasteries in countries like United States, Japan, England, India, Singapore and Malaysia.
